Sidewinder Infrastructure AG has been selected in the national tender for the "complementary reserve" to build and operate the Sisslerfeld Reserve Power Plant (RKW-Sisslerfeld).

This important milestone confirms the project’s key role in strengthening Switzerland’s electricity supply during critical situations. The plant will be built in the Sisslerfeld Chemical Park in Eiken (Canton of Aargau) and will feature a modular design with high-efficiency engines, delivering over 180 megawatts of electrical output. With its rapid start-up capability, flexible operation, and use of CO₂-neutral second-generation HVO fuel, RKW-Sisslerfeld is ideally equipped to stabilize the grid during periods of shortage.

Sidewinder Infrastructure AG is planning the development of a mid-scale e-methanol production complex in the canton of Basel-Landschaft. The project aims to produce climate-neutral fuel by directly converting biogenic CO₂ with green hydrogen, contributing to the decarbonization of Switzerland’s chemical, transport and industrial sectors.

Driven by Sidewinder’s commitment to innovation and precision, the project has successfully completed a comprehensive feasibility study, confirming its technical and commercial viability. Building on this strong foundation, it will soon move into the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) phase — a decisive step toward realizing Switzerland’s first mid-scale e- methanol production facility and accelerating the country’s transition to a -CO₂-neutral future.

Sidewinder Infrastructure AG is currently in the early review phase for the development of a large-scale e-methanol production facility in Tarragona, Spain.

The plant is designed to produce climate-neutral e-methanol by directly converting biogenic CO₂ with green hydrogen. The e-methanol will primarily serve as a carbon-neutral fuel for the shipping industry or as a feedstock for further refining into e-SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel) and e-gasoline — supporting the decarbonization of global transport sectors.

The Tarragona region offers outstanding strategic advantages, including access to major industrial off-takers, a deep-water port, and synergies with leading chemical and energy players. Located within a strong industrial ecosystem, the site provides ideal conditions for realizing this ambitious and forward-looking initiative.
